Who is behind the business?

Holly - Mum of one little human and a whippet. Obsessed with all things related to dogs, so began my professional journey in the industry in 2021 as a dog walker. I supported many dogs through solo and well-managed group walks, building an understanding of canine behaviour in everyday life and developing my interest and knowledge for training. As the dynamics of our business changed due to a baby now in the family, building the park and qualifying in my level 3 & 4 IMDT courses was the next route to support other dogs and their families as well as my own. I worked alongside a family run pet business coaching group and 1-1 classes for two years and now aspire to support dogs and their families in our local community through the use of the park.

Finn -  Our team mascot and beloved family pet. Finn is a 5 year old whippet and a huge part of our team; performing safety checks, ensuring the park is secure and testing our equipment. He is a little scared of the world, nicknamed 'the worried whippet' but with Holly's passion in dog training Finn is supported daily to live the best life possible.

OUR STORY...

Originally known as Waggy Walks, we are a family run business with a passion for dogs.

The park started back in September 2022, when our dog park mama, Holly, started maternity leave and could no longer offer a dedicated walking service. We wanted to keep the passion alive and so we started the park to keep our connection to the local dogs, allow us to grow our business and our family.

We love what we do and we love being able to provide a place for other dog owners to spend time with their dogs, developing better relationships and promoting happy pets.

We will continue to develop our park, our equipment and our community of Wild Paws.

Our park is tucked away in a quiet rural spot, just outside Alness and offers exclusive one-hour hire slots, allowing you a dedicated time for your dogs to explore, off-lead, in a controlled environment.

We have 6.5ft Heras® fencing surrounding the perimeter of the park, with reinforcements in place at the base to prevent any aspiring escapees or digger dogs, although is it always

recommended to keep an eye on your dogs when visiting.

We do all we can to keep out pests and ensure a secure area, but when it comes to our four-legged friends, you can never be to careful.

We also ensure that the boundary of the park, the key-code lock and the equipment are checked daily before any bookings to  ensure the safety of all the dogs who visit.

ABOUT THE PARK

We’ve created an exciting environment where dogs and their owners can socialize, exercise and train with peace of mind & confidence.

WHAT WE OFFER...

The perfect opportunity to spend time with your dog, or dogs, for general exercise or more focused 1:1 training, without the worry of meeting others, running off or encountering other

distractions.

The park allows a safe space for dogs to learn their recall, practice agility or meet other dogs for the first time in a controlled environment.

We have a range of activities such as agility equipment, climbing structures, dog jumps and a large sandpit, with sensory area and enrichment opportunities, such as tyres, games and space for free running.

We encourage the organisation of social opportunities with other dogs and owners. Why not plan a coffee date or picnic at the dog park with friends or book on to a group or solo training session to work on some practical skills? We cover it all at Wild Paws Dog Park.

I booked my two doggies into the park, and they had the best time! They were able to play about with their balls and use the equipment in the park without us worrying about them running off.

Holly was also really great with providing us with plenty information on how to get there etc and answering any questions. Thanks again!

Gus had the best time exploring the park and he especially loved the sensory box. I really liked that it was in a good spot and it was really safe and secure and I could relax and let Gus explore knowing he was safe.

He had the best time running free and was very happy with so many tennis balls! I would highly recommend the play park which has been created with such thought and love. Its safe, secure, clean and tidy and doggy heaven!

Great space to take your doggos along too! Very well organised from the minute of booking until the day you go! Holly is very friendly and professional. Park is very secure and safe for your little fur friends to roam freely!

Rosie loved her first visit and made the most of her freedom running around! Safe to say we had a very tired pup when we got home! We will definitely be back - great addition to the community
